SM Cebu opens The Pink Room

For the whole month of October, the Philippine College of Surgeons, Philippines Society of Surgeons and the Philippine Radiology Society will be conducting free check-ups and breast ultrasound at the second level of SM City Cebu Northwing every Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM.

This was organized in line with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

SM’s clinic will be transformed into ‘The Pink Room’ where the check-ups and ultrasounds will be conducted.  The Pink Room is part of the corporate social responsibility of SM Cebu.

”Everyone can have the free check-ups, however, only those who have the possibility of having breast cancer after being checked-up could have the free breast ultrasound,” Anther Infante, SM Cebu’s event organizer said.

“We want to spread more awareness that people learn to care more of their selves,” Infante added.

Infante said that they have been receiving positive response since it concerns the community for early detection from any illness.

Aside from the Pink Room, SM City Cebu will also hold a fund raising activity. Proceeds of this event will go to the ‘I Can Serve’ Foundation.
